Obituary of Carrie Voorman

VOORMAN, Carrie, age 98, died peacefully, with her loving family by her side, on Friday, May 28, 2010. Born in Ridgewood, she had lived in Wyckoff for the last eighty years. Carrie was a homemaker and a life-member of the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church. She is survived by her dear daughter Helen Breure of Wyckoff, four grandchildren: Leonard M. Breure, Cheryl Zahner, Christine Van Lenten, and Amy Klas, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, her brother James Smith and wife Helyn of Franklin, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. Carrie was predeceased by her beloved husband Alexander, her brothers Abe, Alfred, Henry and Garrett Smith, her sister Jennie Smith and her son-in-law Len Breure. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Olthuis Funeral Home (olthuisfuneralhome.com), 159 Godwin Ave., Midland Park, NJ. Funeral Service, Wednesday, 10:30 AM at the funeral home followed by internment at Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery.
