Although brief, my journey with you and Mary Beth has taught me humility and spiritual growth. I’m sad to know I’ll not see her bright eyes again, but pray our paths will indeed cross again. It was a true privilege to serve her. May your love of her and your faith hold you and lift you in the days ahead. Julie and I extend our deepest condolences. Dr. Nalyn

Dear Chris, Thank you for letting me know... Of course I am sad for your loss, and yet at the same time can rejoice that Mary Beth is worshipping and enjoying Jesus! I enjoyed her friendship in my "New Jersey days" and know that you have been amazingly blessed with her in your life. Now, heaven has welcomed her home and your family has both good memories of things here, and the hope of the things and reunion to come which will last for eternity. Will be keeping you in thought and prayer as you walk through these days... May you know God's peace, comfort, and strength! Blessings to you and the family, Carol Halverson

Chris, Mary Beth will be greatly missed. Her sweet spirit , her incredible heart and talent for worship and most of all her love for the Lord. She suffered so much and you were always there for her. I admire your deep love and faithfulness. There are no words that can come close to describing your sense of loss, but I know Mary Beth is with the Lord and we will all see her again. Two verses that come to me right away are Psalm 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints" and Romans 8:38 "..that nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Chris, you are in our prayers. Love in Christ, Ken and Karen

Chris, My/our deepest sympathy! It was a joy knowing her, and I've no doubt that Mary Beth will continue to work wonders, especially for the love of her life, from the other side. May she rest in peace, and may you be comforted during this period of loss. Due to complex circumstances on my end, I'm not sure if we'll be able to pay our respects in person, but please do provide, (should they not be included in your email), details of the wake, and funeral, and Joan and I will try to attend. Peace and Love, Len

Dear Chris, I'm so sorry to hear the news about MaryBeth. I was friends with her in NJ over 20 years ago right around the time you and she began dating. I received your e-mail by way of a forward from a friend from Florida. I'm shocked by the news of her passing. I didn't know about her struggle with MS. I feel so sad. I always hoped that I would meet up with her again. Our paths went separate ways after I got married (6/4/1988) and moved to Virginia Beach. I still sing the tune she wrote to Zephaniah 3:17. I pray you will know the Lord's comfort and peace in these days ahead as you remember your wife and the precious years you had together. With sorrow, Carolyn Meyer Wiggin

Dear Chris, I had no idea. I haven't checked my e-mail in ages. This seems so sudden. I read about her bout with pneumonia on Friday. I thought there would be a miraculous turn around. I imagined her singing from your bed room "Great is Your Mercy Lord, Great Is Your Love", with you playing the key board from the corner of your room with the same zeal you had at Spirit and Life. Wow!! I guess she is now part of the great cloud of witnesses. I guess we will receive the answer of why in heaven, but at that time, all of our earthly concerns won't even matter to us any more. They why will be irrelevant. Peace to your heart, mind and soul Chris. The one you love is in the arms of the very lover of your own soul and you are embraced by him too. Love, Richard and Davette Ong

Dear Chris, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mary Beth I have only beautiful memories of her. She was such a sweet, beautiful, loving, fun, and precious woman of God. I still hear her singing to the Lord with her beautiful voice. I only wish I saw you all in the years in between. I can’t imagine how hard it is for you, but I know the Lord is with you. And I know that you know that for her, it is only a graduation. She is rejoicing in His presence and singing with more joy than ever in His glory. I know the Lord will comfort and hold you in this time. You’re in my heart and prayers. May God greatly bless you Chris with all the blessings of His peace and comfort. Yours in His love, Jonathan

I first met Mary Beth in 1990 when we were both working at the Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital of the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff, NJ. At the time, I did not have a relationship with the LORD, but Mary Beth so impressed me with her gentle and loving spirit. Shortly after, I became a child of GOD and Mary Beth and I would talk about the LORD and what it meant to be a godly woman. As a music therapist, she was so tender and creative and her music and songs really ministered to the patients, as well as to the staff. I enjoyed talking with her in the late afternoons while we both worked on our treatment notes for the day or prepared our therapeutic groups for the next day. Mary Beth was the epitome of kindness and she was always a positive and encouraging person. Although her absence here on earth will leave a painful void, I am glad her earthly struggles are over and she is resting in the sweet, loving embrace of our LORD Jesus.

I first met Mary Beth in 1983 at a home bible study in Totowa, NJ. From there a new ministry in Paterson NJ was born. Mary Beth, her now husband Chris Mack, Mike Gentile, Mike Santoli and Mary Ellen Desmond formed the ministry band. Mary Ellen, who is no longer with us, later married Mike Santoli. From there a nice group of friends was formed, including my brother, Bob. After service, we would go out to eat at the diner and share a few laughs and engage in discussions about the message and other spiritual matters. I was honored to be a guest at their wedding and had a good time. Being with Mary Beth and Chris was always refreshing and enjoyable. Mary Beth, a talented singer and Chris, a talented musician made a great musical team who reached countless people with their ministry. Mary Beth will be greatly missed by all, who knew her.

Dear Chris, and 'both sides of the' Family Members; I feel very sad at the loss (or should I say gain) of a friend, and offer my deepest and sincerest condolences. Even though we had lost touch, I remember how valiant and strong MB was in facing her debilitation. In spite of the pain, frustration, and depression that was all a by-product of the disease she suffered from and through, MB was probably the best prayer warrior I've ever met. She was on a prayer hotline and had no problem in interceding all day and also when Chris got home. She would meditate in the bathroom while looking out the window at a tree in the backyard and just give Praise and Glory to God for the Gift of Life she was given. She offered all of her talents to the Lord, whatever she could for as long as she could. She was Blessed and was a true Blessing. She was an inspiration, a sweet, sweet Child of God, a very good friend, and a model of what Christianity should be. I look forward to seeing her again, and hope to be more like her, when(as) I grow up. God Bless you, Chris. You guys were quite a team!

Hi Chris, I'm sorry about Mary Beth being gone. I know she's in a better place, because she's with Jesus, but I feel a sense of loss at the same time. The angels in Heaven rejoice when a saint comes home, but we are without that special person. I bet she and Mary Ellen are having a long talk right now and sharing a few laughs. I'm glad you're feeling peace about this. God is looking out for you. It was a great thing you did these past 13 years, taking care of Mary Beth. Bob and I will definitely be up for one or two of the services. We are working out our schedules now. Love In Christ, Ellen

Initially, I met Mary Beth around the time of January 1984, through a loose knit association of friends who lived in and around Bergen County, NJ. It was on that frosty night (with what must have been 1 1/2 ft of new fallen snow) that I found myself being driven to a Saturday Night Home Bible Study that would ultimately have profound meaning and effect on the rest of my life. I had the distinct pleasure and honor of accompanying.... Mary Beth, Carol Ciccotti and Ann Rainone.... through the top of New Jersey and across the border to an old house in Tallman, NY (set back somewhat from the major east-west Route 59). The Bible study featured the Messianic Jewish teachings of one Jonathan Cahn.... about 20 some odd friendly souls and was hosted by a couple named Pete and Sue. What became immediately apparent (even upon first entering this home) was that "I immediately felt that I was home"! The home was filled with great songs.... warm hospitality.... a great message.... afterwards, coffee and special treats.... The night just became more and more wonderful as I met and made some lifelong friends as well ! Chief among them would have to be my old buddy.... ("Be as it may" !) Jim Resko, who was tape recording the nights' worship and message, and was forever sending out hand signals as to when he was about to record. Jim and I would talk at length about 'everything' that night. Jim would always say to me, how both he and I "revolved at the LP record speed of 33 1/2" and not at the standard speed of 33 1/3.... So, in other words we were both obviously - a little FAST, "JUST A LITTLE BIT OFF" ! Other people that he knew were revolving at '33 1/4' speed ! They were also a little 'OFF'.... a little SLOW.... equally valid but on the other end of the spectrum ! I any event: That night began with a series of continued visits to the Bible Study, as well as casual get-togethers. We were all in our young prime and life was very good during those days. Since 1978, I was already an extremely close friend of Mary Beth's husband to be.... Chris Mack. We were both young believers and met during our times at Montclair State College (now University) and also at the old 'Living Church' on Watchung Avenue in Montclair. I was in the midst of attaining my degree in the Fine Arts and all that I needed to hear was that Chris was a Music Major and that we already shared a wide spectrum of similar musical tastes.... mostly centered on the post Miles Davis 'Fusion' period -or- known as European Avant-Jazz, containing much in the way of Neo-Classicism. Chris, Mary Beth, my sister Ellen and I.... have been life long friends ever since. In June of 1988, I had the honor of attending the Wedding of Chris and Mary Beth and of being part of Chris' Male Wedding Entourage ! Many of the old friends, including (now) Pastor Jonathan Cahn and leader of the Beth Israel Messianic Center (then located, Paramus, NJ) were in attendance that day. As does so often happen, years go by, people scatter to the winds, live out their lives.... and for a long time (with an occasional interlude) I had lost track of Chris and Mary Beth. However, just this past early January, my sister Ellen and I, drove out to Clinton, Nj to meet Chris at a restaurant (located about halfway between Central NJ and Chris' location in Eastern PA) for a long Saturday afternoon brunch. Chris gave me a gift of a number of home recorded CD's of special TV documentaries and the old music that we still love so well. One of the CD's was filled with songs that Mary Beth, wrote and performed ! I did previously have the pleasure of seeing and hearing her perform on a number of occasions 'live' at various Church venues ! Suffice to say: Mary Beth wrote something like 60 + wonderful songs, accompanied herself on acoustic guitar and possessed a lovely singing voice. Unfortunately, Mary Beth was not well this past January, and thus could not be with us that day. Now with a sudden swiftness she has gone home to be with the Lord. For, me and many others, Mary Beth was and remains this unique and rare treasure. She most definitely shall be missed.... BUT ALWAYS LOVED AND REMEMBERED !
