Obituary of Dow Drukker

DRUKKER, Dow R., age 93 of Ramsey, died Saturday, May 15, 2010. Born in Clifton, Dow, has lived in Bergen county for 85 years and lived in Ramsey for forty years. He was a member of Hawthorne Gospel Church. Formerly a member of Bethel CRC where he served as a Sunday School teacher and Sunday School Superintendant as well as a Church Elder. He also volunteered as a Chaplin at Preakness Health Care Center for 28 years and conducted Bible studies in Ramsey. Dow is survived by his daughter Joanne and her husband Don Hartensveld of Butler; his son Rhine H. Drukker of Wayne, and his daughter-in-law Dorothy Drukker of Kansas City, MO; his step-son Robert Johnson and his wife Gerri of Dunwood, GA; and step-daughter Gail and her husband Rodger Parker of Ramsey. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and 16 step great grandchildren. Dow was predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth "Betty" in 1982 and by his second wife Mildred in 2010 and by his son Richard D. in 2009. Visiting is Monday 4-7 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral is Monday 7:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home.
