Obituary of Ada Pontier

PONTIER, Ada Marie, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Born in Orange City, IA, she lived in Wyckoff for 53 years before moving to North Haledon in 2005. Ada was a secretary for fifteen years for the Christian Health Care Center. She was a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church. Ada is survived by her children, Judy Stoner and husband Richard of Grand Rapids, MI, David Bruining and wife Judith Layman of Rohrersville, MD, Skip Bruining and wife Joyce of Wayne, and her step-children: Sue McDowell and husband Bob of Bellingham, WA, Peggy Milanowski and husband Steve of Middleton, WI, Bill Pontier and wife Carey of Long Valley, NJ, Anne Demuro and husband Lance of Clifton and Beth Koornneef and husband Ken of Bow, NH. She is also survived by her grandchildren Marshall and Kevin Stoner and her step grandchildren Scott and Leia McFadden, Michael and Tim McDowell, Nick, Anna and Grace Milanowski, Rebecca and Samuel Pontier, Elizabeth and Olivia Demuro and Ruthanne, Rachel and Aidan Koornneef . Ada was predeceased by her husband Arthur C. Bruining and her husband Donald Pontier. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Following private interment at Lodi Cemetery, a memorial service will take place, Friday, 11:00 AM at Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, 422 Cedar Hill Ave., Wyckoff.
