Obituary of Walter Kullmann

Walter J. Kullmann, age 81 of Auburn Center, PA, died peacefully Saturday, February 20, 2010 at The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ. Born in Aschaffenburg, Germany he came to the United States in 1952. Walter lived in Huntington Long Island for many years where he worked as a Tailor and Salesman for Federated Dept. Stores. His love of the outdoors and nature finally led him to Auburn Center, PA, which he often referred to as his paradise, following his retirement in 1985. He was a proud veteran who served during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. He was an active member of the South Auburn Grange # 1188, Meshoppen, PA, where he enjoyed volunteering his time. Loving husband and father, he is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Sunna G. Kullmann, his daugher Sandra McConekey and her husband Richard of Glen Rock, NJ, his son, Eric Kullmann and his wife Michele of Scottsville, VA, and cherished granddaughter, Dana McConekey. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 6, 2010 from 12 - 3 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A brief prayer will be held at 3 pm.
