Obituary of Berch Haroian
Haroian, Berch (Berj) Dr., age 74 of Belvidere, NJ died Wednesday, January 20, 2010. He was born to Armenian Immigrant parents in New York City, and was a resident of Rockland and Bergen Counties before moving to Belvidere 9 years ago. Berch was the first in family to attend college and he received his doctorate. Berch was a Professor of Economics and Business for 32 years at William Paterson University, Wayne where he was the 1st Dean of the School of Management. Prior he taught at Seton Hall University, South Orange and Dominican College, Blauvelt, NY. Berch was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War. Surviving are his daughters, Christine Morelli (Anthony) of Wayne and Victoria Haroian (Michael) of Brooklyn, NY. Also surviving are his 2 grandchildren, Holden and Delilah Morelli, two sister-in-laws and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Claire (McNab) Haroian in 2005 and 2 brothers, Edward Haroian and Harry Haroian. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com , 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Service Monday 11 am at St. Leon Armenian Church, 12-61 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ. Private cremation will be held.
