Obituary of Donald Holmes

HOLMES, Donald A., age 62 of Wyckoff, died on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Don was born in Glen Ridge, NJ and lived in Packanack Lake before moving to Wyckoff 35 years ago. Don was a Fork Lift Operator for the American Bible Society in Wayne for 36 years and then went to work at Home Supply and Lumber in Hawthorne about three years ago. Surviving are his loving wife Karen; his son Michael of Mahwah; his daughter Laura and her husband Don Smith of Hawthorne; his brother William of Montoursville, PA and one niece Stacey Ballard of the Philadelphia Area. He is also survived by his in-laws Tunis and Garberdina of Wyckoff. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. with a service at 8:00 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, www.vpfh.com. Cremation will be private.
