Dear Cousins, We were very sorry to hear that Aunt Leona passed away. She was always so loving and kind to us – just the nicest person. We’d like to share a few of our memories. Dottie remembers during a visit to New Jersey that she was invited to stay with Aunt Leona. She and Richard were so warmly welcomed into Aunt Leona’s home. Dottie was impressed by Aunt Leona cooking her “lasagnas”. Everything was made from scratch, of course, and it took most of the evening to prepare the sausages and sauce. The next day when the lasagna was assembled Dottie was surprised to see the “secret ingredient” of hard boiled eggs added to the mix. And as you all know, dinner was delicious. Donna remembers how lovingly Aunt Leona welcomed Gary when we came to visit. We also remember some of our visits included a trip to Atlantic City. We always had such a fun time. We were so happy to attend Aunt Leona’s 75th birthday party. She was beautiful. What a wonderful night that was. We thank you for the opportunity to gather together as a family and to share that joyful occasion. Dear Aunt Leona: “May the angels welcome you in Paradise, may the martyrs greet you on your way, may you see the face of the Lord this day. Alleluia Alleluia” The loss of a loved one makes us realize what is truly important her on Earth, and that is the love of one another. As your family joins together to ease one another’s suffering know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love, The Prue Girls, Dottie and Donna

My late wife and I only got to visit Aunt Leona and the Rizzo family one time. It was early in our marriage, somewhere between 1967 and 1973. My mom and Nelson were with us, but I don't remember who else, if Ya-Ya and Papou and Uncle Ted and Aunt Elenore were with us. I think it was a Sunday dinner and an experience never forgotten. First the pastas. It seemed to be every type pasta was on the table. We filled up. Then came to meats. Steaks, sausages, and chops. A feast never duplicated. None of us left hungry. The hurting is over and it was your time Thea. Love you and I will miss you. John Finch Chandler, AZ
