Obituary of Anne Sluis

SLUIS, Anne C. age 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 13, 2009. Born in Alameda, CA, she lived in Wyckoff for the last 49 years. Anne was an adoption social worker with Bethany Christian Services for over twenty years. In retirement, she was a volunteer at the Christian Health Care Center, Wyckoff. A member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church of Wyckoff, she was active in various outreach and care ministries. Anne is survived by her four children: Steven P. of Ballwin, MO, Gordon W. of Vicksburg, MS, James P. of Ridgewood, and Kathleen Anne Bristley of Grass Valley, CA. She is also survived by her son-in-law Mark Manning of Ballwin, MO, fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Anne was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter in 1994, her dear daughter Ruth Ellen Manning in 1990 and her grandson David Alexander Bristley in 1999. Friends may visit the family on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff.
