Obituary of Eugene McGuire

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Wyckoff for the last 32 years. Gene spent 25 years in the broadcasting industry capped off as Executive Vice President of Labor Relations and Personnel with NBC. He spent the last ten years consulting with various financial companies in New York. An avid golf enthusiast, Gene was a member of Ridgewood Country Club and Jonathan's Landing in Jupiter FL. He was a parishioner of Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Franklin Lakes. Gene is survived by his beloved wife and best friend Jeanie to whom he was married for 55 years, his four dear children: Donna O'Donnell and husband Mike of Randolph, Eugene, Jr. and wife Barbara of Wantage, Rick and wife Peggy of Wyckoff and Annie McGuire of Westwood, MA. He is also survived by eleven wonderful grandchildren and four brothers and seven sisters. He was predeceased by his brother James. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral Mass, Thursday 10:00 AM at Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 787 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes, followed by interment at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
