Obituary of Gertrude Dunlap

DUNLAP, Gertrude L. (nee Vermeulen), age 87 of Franklin Lakes, NJ formerly of Des Moines, Iowa died Friday, November 27, 2009. Born in Des Moines, Gertrude was a lifelong resident their before moving to New Jersey 5 years ago. During her career Gertrude worked for Joseph's Jewelers in Des Moines for more than 20 years. Gertrude was a parishioner of St. Ambrose Cathedral. Surviving are her devoted children, Dennis L. Dunlap and his wife Cecily of Lake Forest, IL, Steven F. Dunlap and his wife Julie of Madison, WI and Susan K. and her husband David Mackey of Franklin Lakes, NJ. She also leaves her 10 adoring grandchildren, Megan, Andrew, Amelia, Claire Elizabeth, Hannah, Tess, Whitney, Courtney and Tyler and her great grandchildren Madeline, Robert George and Hailey. Gertrude was pre-deceased by her husband Frank F. Dunlap in 2006 and her grandson, Kip Mackey in 2009. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
