Obituary of Ann Freitag

FREITAG, Ann, age 87, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 10, 2009. Born in Granville, MA, she lived in Waldwick for since 1959. Ann was a homemaker and the best wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to sharpen her mind working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was gifted with Yankee blood through her brother Bill who played third base from 1943 to 1951. She was a true friend to many throughout her lifetime. Ann traveled to many places in the world with her beloved husband Roy while he served in the military. Ann is survived by her two dear children: Kenneth of Warwick, NY and Nancy Carlson and husband Christopher of Highland Lakes, NJ. She is also survived by her two grandsons: Derek and Adam Freitag. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Roy A. Freitag in 2004 and her dear son Gary A. Freitag in 2008. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2-5 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A funeral service will take place on Monday, 12:00 PM at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. All are invited to meet at the cemetery.
