Obituary of Donald S. Uhlig

Uhlig, Donald S. age 51 of Wyckoff died suddenly, Sunday, November 8, 2009. Don has been a life long resident of Wyckoff. He was the President of Don Uhlig Associates, an Unemployment Cost Management Firm, since 1986. He was a former coach of Soccer and Softball with the Wyckoff Recreation Dept. Don was an avid Jets and Mets fan, who loved history, politics and books. Surviving is his wife Brenda (nee Paul) Uhlig, his daughter, Blair, his mother, Lillian "Billie" (nee Schweizer) of Wyckoff, his sister, Leslie Schmidt of Clifton. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Elmer Uhlig in Sept. 2009. Family will receive friends on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-8:30 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday at 8:30 pm. Private Cremation will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to an Education Fund which has been established for Don's daughter, Blair.
