Obituary of John Van Beekum

VAN BEEKUM, John M., age 91, of North Haledon, went to be with his Lord on October 18, 2009 at the Holland Christian Home. Born in Prospect Park, John lived in Midland Park until moving to North Haledon 4 years ago. John was in the US Army during WWII. He was a Self Employed Carpenter and Builder. John was a member of Midland Park Christian Reformed Church where he served as Elder, Deacon and on the Outreach and Building Committees. John is survived by his loving wife Pauline, his son John and wife, Trudy and their children, Mitchell and wife Roselyn, Jonathan and wife Jennifer, David and wife Melissa, Laura and Christopher. John is also survived by his daughter Linda and her husband Jack Baker and their children, Steve and Annelies Baker, and Greg and Christy Marvin. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren. Visiting is Wednesday 6:00 - 9:00pm at the Holland Christian Home, 151 Graham Ave, North Haledon, 07508. Funeral service will be Thursday, 10:00am at the Holland Christian Home. Interment will follow at the Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Holland Christian Home Foundation, 151 Graham Ave., North Haledon, NJ 07508.
