Obituary of Peter Sclafani

SCLAFANI, Peter S. age 66, died at his home in Waldwick on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 surrounded by his family. Peter was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 11, 1943. He lived in Franklin Lakes for the past 31 years and most recently moving to Waldwick. Peter was the owner of Peter's Fish Market in Midland Park and was a parishioner of the Most Blessed Sacrament R. C. Church in Franklin Lakes. Surviving is his loving wife of 43 years, Lorraine (nee DeLise), his devoted sons, Peter and his wife Lillyan of Wyckoff, Stephen and his wife Alexa of Burlington, VT and John Sclafani and his special friend Diane Gioia of Wayne. Peter also leaves his mother Marie Sclafani of Midland Park, his Sister Marilyn Rozzo and brother Steven Sclafani both of Wyckoff, and several nieces and nephews. Peter was pre-deceased by his father Stephen A. Sclafani in 2000. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 10:00 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 11:00 am at the Most Blessed Sacrament R. C. Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery. Visiting is Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
