Obituary of Sheila Ryan

RYAN, Sheila, age 71, died on Thursday, September 24, 2009. Born in Ridgewood, she lived in Midland Park all her life. Sheila was a bookkeeper at Ridgewood Typewriter for 25 years, was a volunteer and life member of the Midland Park Ambulance Corps., was a member of the Rosary Society of the Church of Nativity, and over her lifetime volunteered for numerous other community organizations. Above all, Sheila was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Claire Krumm and her husband Tim of Cornwall, NY, her son Jim Ryan and his wife Katie of Charlottesville, VA and 6 grandchildren: Will, Megan, Sam, Emily, Ben, and Phebe. She was also survived by her cousin Lynn Hoadley of Gilbertsville, NY. Sheila was predeceased by her husband James Ryan in 1998. Visiting hours are Sunday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9pm at the Olthuis Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 159 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park, NJ 07432. Funeral service will be Monday 10:00pm at the Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect St., Midland Park, NJ 07432. Interment will be at the Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
