Obituary of Rosa De Concilio

DE CONCILIO, Rosa Angela (nee Apone) age 85 died peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Rosa was born in Prignano Cilento, Italy on January 1, 1924. She came to the United States in 1970 settling with her family in Paterson. For the past 8 years she has been a resident of Upper Saddle River. Surviving are her devoted daughters, Maria and her husband Lorenzo Pretto of Ciconio Canavese, Italy, Nicolina and her husband Attilio Del Verme of Upper Saddle River and Olga and her husband Giuseppe Perrotta of Franklin Lakes. Rosa also leaves her seven adoring grandchildren, Elisa, Christina, Rosanna, Lorenzo, Nicola, Alessandro and Giuseppe, her seven great grandchildren Nicole, Erin, Nina, Isabelle, Nicolette, Alessandro and Martina, her brother Frank Apone and his wife Gina of Mt.Clemens, MI and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 11:00 am at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, 276 Diamond Bridge Avenue, Hawthorne. Interment will take place in the St. Cosma and Damiano Cemetery in Prignano Cilento, Italy at a later date. Visiting will be on Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Upper Saddle River Volunteer Ambulance Corps., 378 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ 07458.
