Obituary of Mary Bush

BUSH Mary C., age 90, of Wyckoff died peacefully on Thursday, May 10, 2012. Born in Garfield, she had been living in Wyckoff since 1974. Mary was a homemaker who devoted her time to the loving care of her family. She especially enjoyed spending time gardening as well as participating in charitable endeavors. As a member of the Rosary Society she made thousands of rosary beads for the missions, hand-painted baptismal bibs for the church and warm winter knitted hats for Sacred Heart School, Jersey City students. Mary also enjoyed volunteering as a historical tour guide at the Zabriskie House, Wyckoff. Mary is survived by her daughter Karen Bush of Wayne and her son Elmer E. Bush, III and wife Edna of West Milford. She is also survived by her great-grandsons Christian and Jeremiah and grand-daughter-in-law Stacey Robinson of West Milford. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Elmer E. Bush, Jr. this past February, her son Richard Bush in 2006 and her grandson Edward Bush in 2007. The family will receive friends on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Prayers will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:00 AM with the Funeral Mass to follow, 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff. Services will conclude with interment at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth School, Greenwood Ave., Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
