Obituary of Robert Wallendal

WALLENDAL, Robert D. age 62 of Wyckoff, died peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood. Bob was born in Hackensack on July 21, 1947. A lifelong resident of Wyckoff, Bob was employed by the Stop & Shop and previously the Grand Union in Wyckoff for the past 22 years. He was a member of the Abundant Life Reformed Church in Wyckoff and was part of the fellowship of the Friendship Ministries. Surviving are his parents, Daniel W. and Betty (nee Masterton) and his sisters, Nancy and her husband Ted Bassman of Scotch Plains, and Janet Wallendal of Wyckoff. Bob also leaves his niece, Jennifer Ruch and her husband Travis and nephew, Peter Bassman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Abundant Life Reformed Church, 475 Lafayette Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. The Wallendal family will receive friends in the library of the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A private interment service will be in the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Christian Children's Retreat, 700 Mountain Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481 or the Friendship Ministries, c/o Jessie Ver Hage, 3217 Warrens Way, Wanaque, NJ 07465.
