Obituary of Ron Van Houten

VAN HOUTEN, Ronald N., age 53 died on Saturday, August 1, 2009. Born in Ridgewood, he lived in Midland Park and Wyckoff until moving to Rock Tavern, NY in 1994. Ron was an Operating Engineer for Tilcon Corporation in Pompton Lakes, NJ. He was also a member of the Orange County Harley Davidson Owner Group and a former member of the Midland Park Fire Department. He is survived by his loving wife Marianne, his son Nicholas, and step-children Laura Ann, Mark and Gregory Rosen, all of Rock Tavern, NY, and his granddaughter Mercedes. He is also survived by his sisters Marie Kuiken of Mahwah, and Ann Miller and her husband George of Garden City, SC and his sister-in-law Nancy Van Houten of Midland Park, and many loving nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his brother Albert Van Houten, Jr. in 2009. Visiting hours are Tuesday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 8:30pm at the Olthuis Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 159 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park, NJ 07432. Funeral service will be Tuesday 8:30pm at the Olthuis Funeral Home. Cremation will be private.
