Obituary of Maryrose Tozzi

TOZZI, Maryrose Caroline (nee Lupo) age 92 of Wayne, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 27, 2009. Maryrose was born in New York City; she was a resident of Brooklyn, NY and Toms River before moving to Wayne five years ago. Her many activities included the time spent as a volunteer at the Wyckoff Family YMCA in the day care center, she was a member of the Wyckoff YMCA Seniors, the Golden Age of Wayne, the Archconfraternity of Christian Mothers in Brooklyn and a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Franklin Lakes. Maryrose is survived by her devoted daughter Susan and her husband John Spanedda of Franklin Lakes, her loving grandchildren Danielle and her husband Tommy Gifford of Wyckoff and Adam Pasquale and his fiancé Mikell Olson of West New York. She also leaves her adoring great grandchildren Jack and Alex and her sister Anne Fave. Maryrose was pre-deceased by her husband Raffaele Tozzi in 2006 and her brothers Jerry and Rossi Lupo. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:15 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 10:00 am at the Most Blessed Sacrament R. C. Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes. Interment will be in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Friends may visit with the Tozzi family on Monday, June 29, 2009, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Maryrose's name to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Paramus, NJ 07652.
