Obituary of Marilyn Castor

CASTOR, Marilyn H. (nee Hughes) of Wayne passed away peacefully on Monday June 15, 2009. Born in Chicago IL, she pursued an early academic career in the performing musical arts, and later completed her Masters degree from Fairleigh Dickinson. During her professional career she was a leading real-estate broker and sales agent for several area firms; obtaining numerous awards for her accomplishments and countless close personal friendships over a 40 year period. Above all, she was a devoted mother of four, a life-long partner with her husband Bill, and passionate about her Weimaraner dogs and the family's first, an Irish Setter. When she took time to relax it was outside in her gardens or the occasional visit to the Jersey shore. Surviving Marilyn are her four children; Jon Castor, Rich Castor, Suzanne Cuomo and Cindy Lindsay and her six grandchildren - all of which will miss her dearly. The Family will receive friends on Friday June 19 from 2:00p - 4:00p followed by the funeral service at 4:00p at the VanderPlaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff.
