Obituary of Dorothy Carl

CARL, Dorothy A. (nee Dantuono) age 76 formerly of Paramus, died peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Dorothy was born in Flushing, NY and was a long time resident of Paramus. Dorothy loved her family and was a wonderful homemaker. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, crocheting and doing puzzles. Surviving are her devoted children Emilie and her husband Marshall Drake of Mt. Lebanon, PA, Thomas Carl and his wife Joyce of Mahwah, Donna and her husband Michael Ryan of Ramsey and Mary DeGhetto of Dumont. Dorothy also leaves her adoring grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Julie, Richard, Bradley, Kyle, Dana, Brian and Carly, her brother Daniel Dantuono and her sister Margaret Corrigan. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 49 years Thomas A. Carl in 2001. Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:15 am from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Funeral mass will follow 10:00 am at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 200 Wyckoff Avenue, Ramsey. Interment will be in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
