Obituary of Joseph Finnegan

FINNEGAN, Joseph James, age 74, died peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2009. Born in Bronx, NY, he was a long-time resident of Ridgewood. Joe was a stockbroker with Wachovia Securities of Paramus. He attended Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River. Joe is survived by his three dear children: Karen Skelton and husband John of Fishkill, NY, Laura Lewis and husband Kirk of Lexington, MA, and James Finnegan of Londonderry, NH, his three precious grandchildren: Dorian Frances Skelton, Emerson Joseph Skelton and David Finn Lewis whose birth we celebrated on June 4, 2009. He is also survived by his sister Eleanor Colgan of Howell, NJ and his two brothers: Richard Finnegan of Amity Harbor, NY and Father Charles Finnegan of Boston MA. Joe was predeceased by his sister Theresa Weg. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral Mass, Monday, 10:00 AM at Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River. Cremation will be private.
