Obituary of Mabel Tribiano

TRIBIANO, Mabel L., age 84, died peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, May 18, 2009. Born in Jamaica Queens, NY, she grew up in Hempstead, Long Island and lived in Saddle River for 35 years before moving to Midland Park four years ago. Mabel was a registered pediatric nurse who worked as a school nurse at Westside Presbyterian Nursery School and later at Community Blood Services in Paramus. Before retiring she was a private-duty nurse for over ten years. She volunteered as directress of the Cottage Place, Ridgewood and was director of the Saddle River Chapter of the Kurth Cottage Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by her beloved husband Calvin W. Tribiano, MD to whom she was married for 62 wonderful years, her three dear children: Calvin W. of Newark DE, Jane O'Keefe and husband Robert of Wyckoff and Jeff of Pompton Lakes and her two cherished grandchildren: Robert and Kaitlin. Friends may visit the family on Friday, 6-9 PM from the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral Service, Saturday, 9:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by interment at Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood.
