Obituary of James V. Latona

Latona, James V. Jr. age 73 of Midland Park was called home to be with his Savior on Sunday, May 3, 2009. Born in Passaic, he lived in Midland Park for 40 years. Beloved husband of 43 years to Ruth (nee Vander Zee) of Midland Park. Devoted father of Susan L. and her husband Craig Murphy of Wyckoff, Jason J. and his wife Karla of Bristow, VA and Michael P. and his wife Rose of Hasbrouck Heights. Adored grandfather of Matthew, Devin, Sarena, Carly, James III, Elana, Sofia and Zachary. Also surviving is his loving sister, Lillian Lomauro of Toms River, NJ and many nieces and nephews. Jim was an Army National Guard veteran. He was an auto salesman for Brogan Cadillac of Ridgewood for 25 years before his retirement. He was an active member of the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church, having served as a deacon and elder over the last 40 years. Jim was an avid golfer who shared his passion for golf with his sons, son-in-law and grandson Matt. Visiting,Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.
