Obituary of Eleanor Tartalio

TARTALIO, Eleanor, age 88 of Midland Park, died on Friday April 10, 2009, at the Valley Hospital. Born and raised with her brother Gordon in Baltimore, MD. She attended Johns Hopkins University where she earned her degree in nursing. She was a longtime resident of Glen Rock, where she raised her family. She moved to Elmwood Park before moving to Midland Park 15 years ago. Eleanor was a Registered Nurse and worked at Ingleside Nursing Home in Old Tappan until she retired in 1983. She is predeceased by her first husband James Leary of Glen Rock and her second husband Paul Tartalio of Waldwick. She is survived by her sons James Gordon Leary of East Stroudsburg, PA and Michael Leary and his wife Valerie of Chester, NY. She is also survived by her grandson Sean Patrick Leary. Visiting hours are Tuesday, April 14, 2009, 2- 4 & 7 - 9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral service is Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
