It has been many years since Louis and I got into trouble together as kids. We were always busy--playing Captain Video, sneaking up to the quarry to watch the trucks, watching Abbott and Costello and the Three Stooges, sleigh riding in Goffle Brook Park, and playing softball after school. Louis was just one of us--the kids from Lynack Road. The world just lost a kind and happy person. Louis, thank you for being my childhood buddy.

IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT I LEARN OF LOUIS PASSING. IT HAS BEEN MANY YEARS SINCE I HAD SEEN LOUIS OR MANY OF MY OLD FRIENDS FROM SCOLA PRINTING. IN MY MANY YEARS IN THE BUSINESS, THE ONE THING THAT ALWAYS BROUGHT A SMILE TO MY FACE, AND NOW A TEAR TO MY EYE, WAS THE RELATIONSHIP WE ALL HAD WITH LOU. FOR ANY OF YOU WHO WERE PART OF OUR CREW, YOU WILL ALL REMEMBER HOW LOUIS AND I WOULD DO GROUCHO MARX ROUTINES ON A DAILY BASIS. HE HAD A SPECIFIC ROUTINE THAT HE DID WITH EVERYONE IN THE SHOP. DO YOU REMEMBER LOUIS COMING UP TO YOU AND ASKING "IS THAT A BOOK?" HE ALWAYS ASTOUNDED ME WITH HIS MEMORY OF YANKEE BASEBALL. THE FACT THAT HE HAS PASSED JUST PRIOR TO THE OPENING OF THE NEW STADIUM IS NOT LOST ON ME. I HOPE THAT HE WILL BE GIVEN A GREAT SEAT TO SEE HIS BELOVED YANKEES IN THE NEW PARK. I LOVED LOUIS AS A FRIEND, AND BOB, BARBARA AND FAMILY, PLEASE ACCEPT MY DEEPEST SYMPATHYS. AND NOW, ONE LAST TIME FOR LOU. "HEY LOU, I SHOT AN ELEPHANT IN MY PAJAMAS, HOW HE GOT IN MY PAJAMAS I'LL NEVER KNOW" CAN'T YOU SEE THAT SMILE? THANKS FOR LETTING ME SAY GOODBYE. I'M SORRY I WILL BE UNABLE TO PAY MY RESPECTS IN PESON DUE TO WORK, AS I WORK NIGHTS. GOD BLESS YOU LOUIS STEVE BOSCHETTI SCOLA PRINTING EMPLOYEE.
