Obituary of Raymond Woodruff

WOODRUFF, Raymond Robert "Woody", age 90, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Friday, March 13, 2009. Born in Highland Falls, NY, he lived in Manhasset and Warwick, NY before moving to Glen Rock. Woody was Vice President of Marketing for AMF, Bowling Division. His career spanned 38 years until retirement in 1983. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Wyckoff. He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy and was a 62-year member of the West Point Masonic Lodge, F&AM. Woody was predeceased by his beloved wife Arlene in 2006. He is survived by his dear daughter Barbara and husband Alan Mandelbaum of Glen Rock, his three grandchildren: Jenelle and husband William Wise, Bryan Mandelbaum and Alyssa Mandelbaum, and his brother John and wife Joyce Woodruff of Scarbourough ME. He is also survived by his sister-in-law June Dombrowski of Akron, NY and his brother-in-law and sister-in law Dale and Carol Fullington of Rochester, NY. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, March 15, from 2-4 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. A funeral service will take place on Monday, March 16, 11:00 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church, 555 Russell Ave., Wyckoff. Cremation will be private. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church.
