Obituary of Katherine Ward

WARD, Katherine Elizabeth (nee Gubb), age 48, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Born in Ajax Ontario Canada, she was raised in Glen Rock and lived in Ridgewood before moving to Waldwick fourteen years ago. Kathy was an underwriting manager with Innovative Risk Concepts, Inc. of Ridgewood. She enjoyed skiing, running and spending time at the beach. Kathy was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She is survived by her beloved husband Tony, her three sons: Michael, Elliot and George Sloan, and her loving parents Keith and Margaret Gubb of Spring Hill, FL. She is also survived by her siblings: Patricia Patt of MI, David Gubb of Ridgewood, Christine Greaney of Ho-Ho-Kus, and Peter Gubb of Ridgewood and their spouses, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral Service, Thursday, 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
