Obituary of George Hannigan

HANNIGAN, George T., age 71, died peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2009. Born in New York City, he lived in the Bronx until moving to northern New Jersey, settling in Saddle River in 1983. George was an executive for many decades at AT&T until retiring in 1988. He then started his own company, Bergen Telephone, which he operated for over 20 years. George is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Francesca, his children; Raymond and his wife Tobin Heminway of New York City, George and his wife Renata Zednicek of Jersey City, and Francine and her husband Kurt Dommermuth of Sykesville, MD. He is also leaves his three adoring grandchildren, Sophie, Arden, and Bix, and his sisters Mary Shanahan and Helen Stroh. Visiting hours will be Friday, 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ, www.vpfh.com. Funeral mass is 10:00am Saturday at St. Gabriel's RC Church, 88 E.
