Obituary of Anna Boffalo

BOFFALO, Anna D. (nee Salmaggi), age 85, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Born in Brooklyn, she was a life-long resident of Paramus. As a young woman, Anna was a cosmetologist until meeting her husband Edward when she settled into the honorable role of homemaker. She volunteered at Parkway School, Paramus as a teacher's aide. She especially enjoyed the opera, cooking and being with her family. Anna is survived by her two sons: Michael of Bloomberg, NY and Edward of Paramus, her four grandchildren: Edward, Taylor, Matthew and Vicki, and her three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Annette Salmaggi of Long Island, NY. Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward in 1987. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (www.vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. Funeral Mass, Friday, 10:00 AM at the Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park. Interment will follow at Valleau Cemetery, Ridgewood.
