Obituary of Kenneth Storms

Storms, Kenneth John "Josh", entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 1, 2009 in Castle Point, NY. He was born on April 15, 1934 in River Edge, NJ the beloved first son of the late Kenneth J. and Rosalie Storms. He lived for many years in Franklin Lakes, NJ, graduating from Ramsey High School where he was an accomplished baseball player. For the past ten years, he was a resident of Goshen, NY. Josh served as a Corporal in the US Army Artillery, stationed in Korea and Japan during the Korean War. He subsequently worked as a construction supervisor, an insurance adjuster and, in recent years, as a commercial lubricants salesman for Texas Refinery, Dallas, Texas. He was an expert fly fisherman, and spent much of his time fishing, camping and hiking in the Adirondack Mountains. He is survived by a daughter, Samantha Chamberlain of Fly Creek, NY, and son Richard of Portsmouth, NH, as well as brothers H. Duane Storms of Montclair, NJ, and Thomas Storms of Lincoln Park, NJ, and sisters Nancy Gooding of Belhaven, NC and Marilynn Storms of Walden, NY. He was predeceased by sisters, Linda and Diana, and brother Howard Storms. Visitation is at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ on Friday February 6th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 7th at the Funeral Home, followed by interment at Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery.
