Obituary of Lougin Zych

ZYCH, Lougin "Larry", age 84, died peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2008. Born in Linden, NJ he lived for many years in Clifton before moving to Bloomville, NY eighteen years ago. Larry was a machinist with Continental Can of Clifton for many years until retiring in 1988. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in France and Germany. During his service, he received the European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal. He loved the peace and tranquility of country life in the Upper Catskills. Larry is survived by his dear sister Irene Ulan of Bloomville, NY, his dear sister-in-law Irene Zych of Walden, NY and several nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his beloved wife Emily, to whom he was married for 46 years, and his two brothers, Raymond and Edward. Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 1:00 to 4:30 PM, immediately followed by a funeral service, at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will be private in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Stamford, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
