To Ryan's Amazing Family, After meeting you at the wake, I wanted to make sure I shared the thoughts I was too upset to get out. Ryan's the reason I passed a stupid English website design class I had to take for my major at UD...I know NOTHING about computers and Ryan was so patient with me - in class, he made sure I wasn't lost following along and had me come over a bunch of times to help me with the final product. He was so patient and so funny about it, about everything. And so relaxed. He never got stressed or upset. He'd just always flash a huge smile. He always got me home safe at night too, he never let me walk home in the dark from class or from his house. I loved his car. He'd let me show up unannounced waiting for Kev, and just get me a beer and chill with me. He was always so polite, asking how I was and how law school apps were going. Even now, after UD, he always sent me birthday messages and messages to check in about UD Homecoming and about going to concerts in Philly. He was the sweetest person, an incredible friend. His smile was infectious and I'll never forget it, or him. To Ryan, I am so glad I got to see you one more time, and say my goodbye. The world is less bright without your smile, but Heaven shines like never before. I now understand a little better and feel more at peace with all this. Thanks for brightening my life so much for the short time you were in it. I'll always remember you for that.

The Whited Family I remember babysitting Ryan & Thomas years ago. The boys had given me a matchbox sized BMW to say thanks for being there. (I think I still have it) I also remember the trip we all took to Canada together some years back and Bill took me for my first motorcycle ride. It has been alot of years since I have seen the boys and the news of this tragedy is heart breaking. With deepest sympathy and comfort of knowing your son will be with you always. For those who are no longer beside us, they will always be with us. In our Hearts Deneen & Ron Stone

TO THE WHITED FAMILY - our deepest heartfelt condolences and prayers for you and your family, we are so saddened to hear of your Ryan - a loss which is all to familiar to us - there are no words to say right now - only that we truly know and feel your pain - first hand. You were there for us when we lost our Danny in the Spring. You were there with your prayers and came through for us when we needed your support. Please, please - we want to be there for you too. I know this is a pain beyond reason - but our heart is with you at your pain as well, and broken as we also are and still grieving, please be assured that when you are ready, and alone, and everyone else is gone - you can call us if you want to talk and need to grieve. There is no time frame for anything - just allow yourself to cry, love and remember - and remain open to Gods healing power - although our children have gone before us - they remain with us in a new way. We are praying that our Angel Sons help one another, and will help us to heal and understand. Today we will remember, cry and love them forever and a day until we see and be with them again. May God bless and comfort you as only he can. Amen. Sincerely in Christ, The Battista family

I consider myself lucky to have met Ryan my freshmen year of college at UD. From the time I stepped into the boys well-worn main street apartment I felt at home for the first time since I left for school. For three years my spare time was spent watching Family Guy, playing quarters, or just engaging in nonsensical conversation with Ryan, Kevin and Todd. Although I lost touch with Ryan after graduation, I have, and always will, remember Ryan be the kind and generous friend who welcomed me into his home to watch TV on an idle Tuesday. My sincerest condolences to the Whited Family. -Adrienne Mohadjerin

My sincere condolences go out to the Whited Family and all those who knew Ryan. I will always remember all the fond memories from going to school with him and him always having that big grin on his face. It saddens me that since high school I hadn't seen him or had a chance to catch up with him. Out of the whole class of 2002 he was one of the most sincere and genuine. Rest in peace Ryan, I'll never forget you. Mike Rocco Mahwah, NJ

In your short life, your kind heart and smile touched us and more people that we could ever know. We saw you grow from a good hearted boy to a confident young man that any of us would be proud to have as a son. Now you have been taken from us and we will always wonder why. But this is certain, God has you in a better place. A place for angels like you. Good bye our dear Ryan. We pray for you and your family.

To the Whited Family- It was with a great sense of loss when I heard of Ryan's death. I wanted to let you know that you have my greatest sympathy, and my heart is truly saddened. Ryan was more than just a wonderful person; he was always so kind and considerate to us that we always welcomed seeing him at every opportunity, helping us with any IT questions and with his happy and sincere smile on his face all the time. And, I know that his passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew him. Ryan will always remain within in my heart, and I have included Ryan and you in my daily prayers. May G'd give you strength. If there is anything that I can do to help you in anyway, please do not hesitate to call me at anytime. You can phone me at 1-609-815-4542 even if it is only to talk. To Ryan's Family... Words can not express how sorry I am to hear about Ryan. I know Ryan was an amazing person and I think he will always be with you in spirit and good will. Ryan loved his family very much and I know you will miss him terribly. I wish you had more time with him. Ryan and I were great buddies at the University of Delaware. Kevin, Ryan and I (plus a few others) had almost every Computer Science class together. But we were more than classmates, we were friends. He was always there for me and had the best outlook on life. He was a tremendously intelligent person and anyone that met him could see it right away. I am so sorry for your loss. With my deepest sympathy, Christine Pochiluk

Dear William and Patricia, As Dad of Ryan's close friend and college roommate Kevin, I can only imagine in a nightmare the anguish you are feeling right now. But I do have to tell you how very much I admired your son and his kind, generous, warm and constantly positive outlook. During the party for Ryan and Kevin's graduation, I think I told you one particular story that I will never forget. It had to do with that incident in which Ryan and Kevin's CompSci professor had wrongly accused them of cheating on a homework project. After several months of uncertainty they finally got a chance to defend themselves in the judicial hearing. Ryan's statement was truthful but also extremely generous in trying to find the best light to view his accuser. Indeed, even after enduring after a long harangue at the hearing, Ryan still found it in himself to walk up to the professor at the end and tell him how much he had enjoyed the course. To be honest, having witnessed what this prof had put them through on the flimsiest of grounds, I was totally taken aback by Ryan's generosity. It's an act that I will never forget, and an example I will also try my best to follow. We are all taught to "forgive those who trespass against us", but Ryan took those words to heart. He was a special fellow, and I hope you can call upon your very justified pride in him to help carry you forward through this unspeakable tragedy. With deepest condolences and best wishes, Stan Owocki
