Obituary of Macaluso Thomas

MACALUSO, Thomas H., age 70, died peacefully, with his family by his side, on Friday, October 10, 2008. Born in Passaic, he lived in Clifton before moving to Franklin Lakes 34 years ago. Mr. Macaluso was the owner of Tommac Construction, Inc. of Franklin Lakes. He was a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church of Franklin Lakes. He was also a member of the Arcola Country Club of Paramus and the Windstar on the Bay Country Club of Naples Florida. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife Dolores (nee Kocsis) to whom he was married for 48 wonderful years, and his three dear children, Dr. Thomas Macaluso and wife Dr. Mary Hayes of Fort Lauderdale, FL, James Macaluso and wife Donna of Wyckoff and Joann Macaluso of Mahwah. He is also survived by his dear mother-in-law Emily Kocsis of Franklin Lakes, six loving grandchildren; Dylan, Zachary, John, Justin, Katrina, and Lyle, and his brother Vincent Macaluso of Elmwood Park. He was also "Pop-Pop" to his very special niece and nephew Grace and David Kocsis of Kinnelon. Tom was predeceased by his precious granddaughter Mariel Hayes-Macaluso and his sister Theresa Macaluso. Friends may visit the family on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, 9:15 AM at the funeral home followed by a funeral mass, 10:00 AM at Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 787 Franklin Lakes Road, Franklin Lakes.
