Obituary of Allen Ruit

RUIT, Allen, age 86, died on October 8, 2008. Born in Prospect Park, NJ, he was a lifelong resident of Wyckoff, NJ. Al was a Self Employed Dairy Farmer and was a Wyckoff Volunteer Fireman and Life member of Sicomac Engine Company #3. He is survived by his sons Chuck and his wife Elba of Mahwah, and Doug of Wyckoff, his grandchildren Jill, Timothy, Justin and Christopher, and a great granddaughter. He is also survived by his sisters Catherine of Hawthorne, Ruth formerly of Wyckoff, Dorothy of Wyckoff, and his brother John Jr. of Wyckoff. Al was predeceased by wife Helen in 1983 and his brother James in 2002. Visiting hours are Friday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 PM with a Fireman's service at 8:00pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ www.vpfh.com. Funeral Service is Saturday 11:00 am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery in Wyckoff.
