Obituary of Raymond Furrows

FURROWS, Raymond Holden age 76 of Midland Park, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at home surrounded by his family. Ray was born in Westfield, MA on May 25, 1932, and was a resident of Midland Park since 1960. Ray was the owner of Ray Furrows Trucking in Midland Park. During the Korean Conflict, Ray served his country in the United States Navy, and was a member of Powerhouse Christian Church in Wyckoff. Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Betty Jane (nee Morgan), his children Kevin Furrows and his wife Yvonne of Parsippany and Karen and her husband Peter McCabe of Cumming, GA. Ray also leaves 5 grandchildren, Rachel, Erica, Timothy, Kyle and Gregory, his great granddaughter Zoey and his brothers Albert and Charles both of Roberts, ID. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Powerhouse Christian Church, 500 West Main Street, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Interment will follow in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is Friday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Powerhouse Christian Church.
