Obituary of Alice Bally

BALLY, Alice (nee Kedersha) age 102 of Ft. Lee died peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 13, 2008. Alice was born in New York City on January 15, 1906. She was a resident of Toms River before moving to Ft. Lee in 1985. Alice was a member of the Assyrian Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary in Paramus, and a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Surviving is her devoted son, George Bally, Jr. and his wife Virginia of Hardyston, NJ and her son-in-law Lee T. Cheringal of Wyckoff. Alice also leaves 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband George in 1971 and her daughter, Mildred Cheringal in 2003. A funeral service will be held Tuesday 10:30 AM at the Assyrian Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary, 644 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652. Interment will follow in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visiting is Monday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. A prayer service will be held at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Assyrian Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary.
