Obituary of Stefan Redl

REDL, Stefan, 76, of Midland Park passed away suddenly on Sunday August 31, 2008. Stefan was the loving husband to Theresa Redl (nee Wagner) and dearly loved father of Kristine and James Harte and Robert and Christine Redl, both of Ramsey and Richard and Jackie Redl of Fairlawn. He was the much adored Opa of Ryan, Connor, Stefan, Kelly and Sean and devoted brother to Theresa and her husband Matt Rehberger of Wayne. Stefan was born in Hungary and immigrated to the United States in 1949. He was a Korean War veteran and worked at Finkel Furniture in Garfield for 28 years and eventually retired from Kurt Versen in Westwood. This past May, Stefan & Theresa were surrounded by friends and family as they celebrated their 50th anniversary in grand style. Stefan leaves behind many broken hearted friends and family. We were all blessed to know him and have him as part of our lives; he will be truly missed. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, 9:45 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 mass at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park. Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
