To Peter and family.....we are so very saddened to hear about Sandy's passing! Sandy was one of the most wonderful people our family has ever known. Sandy has tutored 3 out of our for children over the last 20 years. Our children absolutely loved and trusted Sandy completely. As recently as June 7th my 19 year old son with his 29 year old sister and our dear friend, all of whom Sandy worked with, called her on the phone to share their successes with her! They invited her to come to her house unaware of her illness! She was so happy to talk to them! And they are so thankful today that they got to speak with her! All their handprints are on her wall! There was no one like Sandy! I hope Rosie Cotton is being cared for! Sandy loved her so much!

To Peter and family, you have my deepest sympathy. Sandy was the most thoughtful, compassionate and loving person. She was so devoted to her students. Sandy was a confidence builder and cared about the "whole child" not just about the academics. She touched so many peoples lives in the most positive way and will always be part of our lives, our hearts.

To Peter and Family: So many Saturdays in your basement on Funston Place, talking and laughing with Sandy. She was a dear sweet friend. Sandy picked me as the friend that your parents took to NYC to see Ben Hur when it premiered. I think the year was 1960. I was thrilled!!! Sandy was unique and I will never forget her. May she be at peace now and forever. My sincerest condolences to her family.

Sandy was an amazing person. She possessed great wisdom and expertise as a teacher, mentor, confidante and cheerleader of her students. She loved each and every one of them and had the ability to see the positive in all. Most importantly, she gave each student the confidence to "keep soaring" and to never give up. There are so many highly successful productive children, young adults and adults who have had the good fortune to be touched by Sandy who may have otherwise followed a different path. i know that Sandy will be "Soaring' straight to heaven due to the life she led on earth. RIP-We will never forget you for all that you did for our family and for so many others. Love, Laurie, Mark and Mark Jr.
