Obituary of Gloria Mae Giannantonio

Giannantonio, Gloria Mae, age 76 of Rochelle Park, died in peace and comfort surrounded by her loving family on July 2, 2015 at the Villa Marie Claire hospice center in Saddle River. Gloria was born in Teaneck, and lived in Palisades Park for 50 years with her husband of 32 years, Peter Giannantonio, where they raised their 5 children together before moving to Rochelle Park 26 years ago. Gloria was a secretary for 20 years after raising her family, working in Fort Lee and Hackensack. Gloria is survived by her former husband, Peter Giannantonio (formerly of Palisades Park); her 5 children, daughters Phyllis Zuppe & husband Tom, Theresa LaSpina & husband Sal, her sons Nick Giannantonio & wife Donna, Peter Giannantonio & wife Janice, and Paul Giannantonio. She also leaves her brother William Lewis. She was the beloved grandmother of her 10 grandchildren, Anastasia, Gabrielle, Nicole, Annie, Lynn, Anthony, Eric, Bryan, Brooke & Gia. Gloria is predeceased by her parents William & Josephine Lewis (nee Mager) of Palisades Park. The Giannantonio family will receive friends on Monday July 6, 2015, 2-4pm & 7-9pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday July 7, 2015, 11am at St. Luke's R.C. Church, 340 Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions in Gloria's memory be made to The Villa Marie Claire at 12 West Saddle River Road, Saddle River, NJ 07458.
