Obituary of Albert Turchick

Turchick, Albert William, age 83, died Friday, April 24, 2015 at Villa Marie Claire, Saddle River, NJ. He was born in Coalport, PA and had resided in Midland Park before moving to Waldwick six years ago. Albert was a Civil Engineer with American Society of Civil Engineers, New York, NY for 35 years prior to his retirement. He was a veteran serving with the US Army. He was a member of Church of the Nativity, Midland Park, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council, Midland Park, Penn State Alumni Association and Chi Epsilon -The Civil Engineering Honor Society. Albert is survived by his loving wife Jean A. (nee Stanford) of Waldwick, his children and their spouses, Peter and Mary Beth Turchick of Warrington, PA, John and Dianne Turchick of Norwalk, CT, Mary and Peter Sullivan of Midland Park, NJ, Ruth and Michael Cahill of Bloomfield, NJ, Francine and Kenneth Caleca of Midland Park, NJ, Amy Peterson of West Milford, NJ and Andrew and Tara Turchick of Hoboken, NJ. Albert will be dearly missed by his 20 grandchildren who brought much joy to his life; Elizabeth, Juliana, Kate, Rob, Alexandra, Tory, Jack, Samantha, Patrick, Thomas, Emma, James, Peter, Erin, Lauren, Sara, Anna, Sabrina, Avery and Noelle. Also surviving are his brothers and their wives, Winifed Turchick, Erma Turchic, Edward and Agnes Turchick, Francis and Marilyn Turchick, and Theodore and Josie Turchick. Albert was predeceased by his brothers, John, Andrew, Joseph and Paul, his sisters, Helen Barbieri and Anna Turchick, and his sisters-in-law, Catherine Turchick, and Lorraine Turchick. Visitation for Albert will be held on Monday from 2-4, 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, 10:00 am at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park, NJ followed by the interment at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, NJ.
