Obituary of Barbara Burns

BURNS Barbara Marion (formerly Babikian), 75, of Manasquan, NJ, formerly of Haworth, NJ, died on Monday, March 12, 2012. Barbara was born in West New York, NJ and worked at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) before devoting herself to her four children. She returned to the workforce and had a very successful career as Vice President of Cross & Brown's Commercial Real Estate, Paramus. Barbara took pride in her professional career and was one of the most successful female brokers in the state of NJ. She especially enjoyed sailing, golf, and being close to the beach. Her passion for life, love, and laughter was contagious and was cherished by all. Her true enjoyment however came with time spent with her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind her beloved son Jeff Babikian and wife Eileen, Glenn Babikian and wife Barbara, daughters Carol Haegele and husband Scott, Karen Lupinacci and husband Jeff, and her most prized possessions, her grandchildren Ryan, Lauren, Michael, Matthew, Brian, Brooke, Kyle, and most recent grandchild Brendan. She is also survived by her brother Lenny Burns and wife Barbara, her sister Patricia Santenello and husband Gerry and many nieces, nephews and friends that loved her dearly. Friends may visit on Friday, 6-9 PM at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff. Funeral Mass, Saturday, 10:00 AM at Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Prime Care, Inc., 562 Watertown Avenue, Waterbury, CT 06708 would be appreciated. Prime Care is the care provider for Barbara's beloved niece Amanda Burns.
