Obituary of Leo Morabito

Morabito, Leo O., age 91 of Mahwah died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ. Leo was born in Pratt, West Virginia, having lived in Waldwick for 46 years he moved to West Milford and most recently to Mahwah. Prior to his retirement, Leo was employed with the Ford Motor Company, Mahwah, NJ. Leo was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant and was a parishioner of St. Luke's RC Church Ho Ho Kus. Leo was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen Morabito on December 3, 2008, his brother and sister-in-law Roy and Mary Morabito and a sister-in-law, Janey Morabito. He is survived by his children Leona Paquette of Mahwah, NJ, Nicholas Morabito and his wife Julie of Ronkonkoma, NY and Pat Morabito and his wife Patricia of Plainsboro, NJ, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers, Herman Morabito of Midland Park, Rudolph Morabito and his wife Christine of North Haledon, and Eugene Morabito and his wife Louise of Hawthorne. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 2:00- 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014, 10:00 AM at St. Luke's RC Church, 340 Franklin Tpke., Ho Ho Kus, NJ 07423. The interment will follow at St. Luke's Cemetery.
