Obituary of William Finnerty
FINNERTY, William A., 63, of Midland Park, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in Flushing, NY, and grew up in Manhasset, NY, before moving to New Jersey in 1981. He was the founder of Finnerty, Realtors in Midland Park and an active member of the Church of the Nativity.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen and four children, Karen of Midland Park, Meaghan of Jersey City, Michael of Houston, and Thomas of London. He is also survived by his four brothers, James (Maria), Kevin (Mary Ellen), Brian (Lisbeth), and Joseph (Gina), his sisters-in-law, Pamela Hoar and Gail Kennedy Hoar, and his brother-in-law, William Hoar (Phyllis), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved aunt Irene McDonald. Bill was predeceased by his parents Marabeth and William Finnerty.
Visiting hours are Sunday 2-6 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com) 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Mass is Monday, 10:00 am at the Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect St., Midland Park, NJ. Interment will follow at the Nassau Knolls Cemetery in Port Washington, NY.
