Obituary of Ralph Jeltes

JELTES, Ralph J. age 76 of Midland Park, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff. Ralph was born in Midland Park on July 31, 1931 and was a life long resident there. He was a telephone installer for AT&T in Midland Park for more than 40 years before his retirement in 1988. Ralph was a member of the Midland Park Christian Reformed Church where he served as deacon and a member of the audio committee. Ralph served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and served his community in the Midland Park Ambulance Corps. Surviving is his loving wife of 54 years, Eleanor (nee DeVries), his devoted children, Laurie Jeltes, Susan Lindemulder and Tim Jeltes. Ralph also leaves his nine grandchildren, Shawn, Seth, Stephanie, Alyssa, Chelsea, Jeff, Victoria, Ethan and Eric and his brother Elmer Jeltes. Funeral services will be held Monday, 10:30 am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Interment will follow at the Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood.
