Obituary of Carol Hyman
Carol A. Hyman passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014. She was 72. Born in Brooklyn she was a long time resident of Franklin Lakes before moving to Hackensack.
Carol was a parishioner at Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Franklin Lakes and volunteered at the Holy Trinity Church in Hackensack in the food pantry and at the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation. She was actively involved in both the Franklin Lakes recreation program and the Ramapo High School Booster Association.
Her friend and former husband, Harvey Hyman, died in 2014. Survivors include her husband Drew Guddemi and her sister Rosanne J. Boland. Carol was a devoted mother to Francine Fishman, Richard S. Hyman, his wife Kara, James W. Hyman, his wife Jennifer, Robert L. Hyman, his wife Christina, and to step-daughter Elizabeth Loew, and her husband Warren.
Adoring grandmother of Alexandra, Karaline, Genevieve, Max, Abigail, Jack, Rylee, Luke, Jacob, William, Cameron and a soon to be granddaughter.
Carol will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving mother, caring grandmother and a true friend whose smile and laughter always made being with her the place to be.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 4-9 PM at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, (vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 20th at 10:00 AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 787 Franklin Lake Rd., Franklin Lakes. Interment will follow in Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes. Expressions of sympathy in the form of memorial donations may be made to the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, 92 2nd Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.
