This year we celebrate the one year anniversary of my love's passing. I will never forget that day. It's been the toughest year in all my life; and its his spirit which I know guides me and lives on in my children that keeps me going everyday. We live life for him.
For all the support we have received from family and friends through the year, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. David left behind such wonderful memories, they will last for a lifetime. His smile and laugh will forever be ingrained in our minds. We miss you David and Love you for eternity. XOXO

I retired from the Port Authority in late 2010 but worked with Dave from the time he was hired at the airport. I talked to Dave just weeks before his passing and he filled me with optimism that he had successfully overcome all obstacles to full recovery. He invited me to stop in and see him when he returned to work a few weeks later. I stopped in the the airport managers office this week and was shocked by the news. I regret having called Dave after last speaking to him, and I apologize for the lateness of this message. I'm overwhelmed by his pleasant and uplifting comments to me concerning his recovery. He was very brave to face his illness with such a positive attitude, and for making it appear that he was looking for any sympathy over his misfortune. I enjoyed working with Dave at TEB, and always found him helpful, and cooperative, and always especially proud and devoted to his children and wife. May god bless him and his entire family.

I don't like seafood but every family get together especially around the holidays, Dave would try to get
me to eat shrimp. He knew that during the antipasto course, I would eat the black olives. Most of the
time, all of us as kids would take the bowl of olives and place them on our fingers. At one specific holiday
at our cousin Renee's house, I had left the table to use the restroom. When I returned, I had 3 olives on
my plate. Dave, innocently said to me, "I know you really like olives and some cold cuts so I made you
a new appetizer". It appeared to be black olives stuffed with ham and cheese, salami and cheese, etc.
How could I resist? I couldn't wait to eat one! So, I placed one in my mouth and smiled. Dave asked,
"How does it taste? It's good, right?" I responded with, " yes, it's yummy". Dave waited for me to swallow
and then he happily and excitedly said, "you didn't eat just an olive with some stuff in it, you also ate a
shrimp!" My face must have been priceless. He laughed and anyone who knows Dave knows he has a
unique laugh and some would say is annoying after he laughs in your face a few times. The little bugger
hid a small baby shrimp in my olive and covered it up with the cold cuts.
