Obituary of Charles Pruiksma

PRUIKSMA, Charles "Tom" age 59 of Wayne, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital. Tom was born in Jersey City on July 22, 1948. He was a resident of Wyckoff and Waldwick before moving to Wayne in 2002. Tom was a painter and paper hanger for Walter Rich Painting in Ridgewood before his retirement in 2003. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War. Surviving is his loving wife Dorothy J. "Dottie" (nee Pfleger), his step son Darin Klopman of Totowa, and his brother Richard Pruiksma of Holston, Kansas. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 11:00 am at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home (www.vpfh.com), 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff. Visiting will be Tuesday 7:00 to 9:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 57, 46 Franklin Turnpike, Waldwick, NJ 07463-1737.
